Who are we?

Heidenline OÜ was founded in 2006 when the Adamson family started their business with the rental of Hobby caravans. In 2007, we adopted a new and easily remembered name Matkasuvilad.ee, under which we have grown into a well-known and strong company on the Estonian market. Our goal is to provide the Estonian market with high quality caravans, caravans and various accessories.

But our story started already in the deep Soviet times, when in 1982 Meelis Adamson, the founder of our company, had his first contact with caravans. As a schoolboy still in primary school himself, he had the opportunity to spend his first overnight stay in the caravan of his Finnish family friends at the Olgino campsite near Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). From that moment on, he was infected with the 'caravan bug', from which he has never recovered and which has left a lifelong mark.

It was only a few years later, in 1984, that the caravan built by Meelise's father, Lembit Adamson, was put into operation. From that moment on, the caravanning lifestyle has been a constant practice in this family, and whenever there was a bit of free time, the wheels were put in motion. In his youth, Meelis lived in the caravan built by his father for a few years, even all year round.

Since 2007 Matkasuvilad.ee is the official representative of Hobby caravans and motorhomes in Estonia. Hobby caravans are very popular all over Europe, being the market leader with more than 30% of the market share. Matkasuvilad.ee started its activity with the rental of Hobby products. This activity contributed to the promotion of the lifestyle and the Hobby products. Compared to what was available on the market at the time, Hobby hikers' cabins were quieter and had lower fuel consumption.

In 2008, we started working with Reimo's caravan catalogue. In the autumn of 2008 we opened our first shop of only 60 m2 in Tallinn at Forelli 8. Since then we have been bringing all the necessary caravan accessories and spare parts for caravans and caravans to the country. 

In 2010 Adria joined our range of brands, which quickly gained popularity and by 2011 Adria caravans were the best-selling caravans on the Estonian market. The Adria brand ranks among the top three in Europe and Scandinavia, which is a good indication of its quality and suitability for the Nordic conditions. 

Adria's range also includes Sun Living branded motorhomes, which started to gain popularity in 2012. Sun Living is an 'entry level' brand, which is simpler and designed for people who are new to caravanning. Manufactured in the Adria factory on the same production line as Adria motorhomes, Sun Living motorhomes benefit from the Adria factory's superior technology and quality at a more affordable price.

Karin and Meelise's years of hard work began to bear fruit and by 2013 the Forelli Street shop was cramped for a Matkasuvilad.ee outlet. Matkasuvilad.ee opened a new 200 m2 showroom with an adjacent hiking cottage service in Tallinn, Järveotsa tee 54. The Matkasuvilad.ee outlet in Õismäe has been our home for more than eight years, and we can safely say that during this time we have probably been the largest hiking souvenir shop-service in the Baltics.

In 2014, we brought the first premium-class motorhome from Carthago to Estonia. Carthago stands out for its innovative body construction and offers comfortable and luxurious integrated and semi-integrated motorhomes for the most demanding customer. In Scandinavia, Carthago has a market share of more than 90% of the integrated motorhome market above €100,000. Thanks to their high quality standards and winter resistance, Carthago motorhomes are also very well received by Estonian users.

In 2018, one of Europe's largest manufacturers, Hymer, added its motorhomes and caravans to our range. Hymer has been producing premium motorhomes since 1957 and has always been a step ahead with its innovative solutions. From practical motorhomes to premium premium motorhomes, Hymer has a range to suit everyone.

Today, Matkasuvilad.ee has grown to become the largest importer of motorhomes and caravans in Estonia, representing well known and respected manufacturers of caravans in Europe - Adria, Hymer, Carthago and Hobby. In our caravan accessories shop, everyone can find a wide range of campervan accessories from Europe's largest catalogue -- Reimo. We also stock Dynavin multimedia and navigation equipment, Maxxair ventilation systems and Brunner tableware.

Our team has grown over the years -- from four members in 2013 when we moved to our new Õismäe branch, we will have grown to 13 by the end of 2021. In four years, Jarmo has become a very valuable motorhome salesman and a leader in his field. Since the autumn of 2020, Urmas has been very well trained under Jarmo and Meelise and has become our store manager. 

In the workshop, we have three great and hard-working foremen - Uno, Marek and Tõnis. While Uno is already an "old fish" in the company, Marek and Tõnis are fairly new faces. Uno is our valuable master framer who, thanks to his experience, can find a solution to even the most difficult situation. Tõnis is mainly responsible for the electrical work and the preparation of new cars. Marek is a master craftsman with a broad reach.

Warranty and spare parts orders will be handled from spring 2021 by the energetic and always helpful Maria, who will find a solution for every situation. Gerli, a member of our team since 2015, understands the soul of our company and is the one who answers our people's and our customers' concerns. Over the past six years, Gerli has been exposed to a wide variety of tasks, and today she is mainly responsible for the ordering and registration of motorhomes. In spring 2022, Merike joined the team of women in our office, where she prepares purchase orders.

Reet, who joined us in September 2021, assists us on the warehouse side with receiving goods and setting up systems. With the increase in orders and the volume of goods in stock, Reeda's help to our team is invaluable and thanks to her attentiveness and thoroughness, the work of both the office and the shop has been greatly simplified.

Anu, who joined us in the spring of 2022, has proved to be a valuable asset. Her quick hands and friendly and always helpful attitude help us to keep the caravans, the shop and our relationships in order. Anu helps us on the shop side as well as in the workshop with various support work.

As the interest in camping and this lifestyle has increased significantly in recent years and our team has grown significantly over the last few years, our shop in Õismäe has become cramped for us. As of January 2022, you can visit us in our new branch at Härgmäe 24, Haabersti, Tallinn, where our new and modern shop-service is located on 1500 m2 of spacious space.
